Crossing borders shouldn't be harder than chasing the dream on the other side.
Every year, over a million Indians apply for a Schengen visa. Too many are turned away, not because they don't deserve to go, but because of a document they got wrong. We started Unbordr to fix that.
A visa is just paper. What's behind it isn't.
Behind every application is something bigger: a first trip abroad, a family reunion, a business opportunity, a young athlete's shot at a European academy, a life someone is trying to build. When a preventable paperwork error takes that away, it isn't an inconvenience. It's a dream deferred.
To make sure no one is refused for a reason that could have been fixed. We build the strongest possible file for every applicant, and we tell them the truth about where they stand.
To be the honest expert in a category that has forgotten what honesty looks like, so that every Indian who deserves to cross that border gets a fair, fully-prepared shot at it.
A refusal is rarely about you. It's about your paperwork.
Around 13 to 14 lakh Schengen visa applications are processed from India every year. Close to 1.5 to 1.75 lakh of them are refused at the consulate level.
And that number doesn't tell the whole story. Many applications are turned back even earlier, at the VFS or VLS stage, because the documents aren't right. Those people are sent home before their application is ever formally counted. There is no official data for them, because in the system's eyes, they never even applied.
- ~13–14L
- Schengen applications from India every year
- ~1.5–1.75L
- Refused at consulate level, most for preventable document errors
- Uncounted
- Turned away earlier at VFS/VLS, never recorded as applications at all
The Schengen visa is one of the toughest in the world to get, in the same league as the US, Canada and Australia. There is no e-visa. You apply in person, and you get it stamped in person. That makes the margin for error small and the cost of a mistake high: a refusal means lost fees, lost flights, and often a lost trip entirely.
Here is what matters most: most of these refusals are preventable. They come from incomplete, inconsistent or incorrectly presented documents, not from people being ineligible. It is a preparation problem. And a preparation problem can be solved.
We prepare you for approval, not just submission.
Unbordr is India's first AI-powered Schengen visa document preparation and verification platform. We are not agents who file your form and disappear. We build you the strongest possible file, and we tell you the truth about where you stand.
Our document engine reads your specific profile and builds a checklist made for your exact situation, not a generic list pulled off the internet. Then a real human expert reviews every document before it ever reaches the consulate. You get a clear, honest assessment, a submission-ready file, and guidance at every step.
What we don't do is just as important. We never promise approvals, because nobody honest can. The final decision always rests with the consulate. What we promise is that your file will be as strong as it can possibly be, and that we will tell you the truth, even when it isn't what you want to hear.
Honesty isn't our marketing. It's our reason for existing.
The visa industry is full of promises it can't keep: guaranteed approvals, hidden fees, and support that vanishes the moment your payment clears. We built Unbordr as the opposite of that.
We tell you the truth about your odds
If your case is weak, you'll hear it from us first, not from the consulate.

Visas he prepared and got approved for players aged 11 to 21, most on the first attempt, before Unbordr was ever an idea.
Unbordr didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a pattern Anirudh noticed while doing something completely different.
Anirudh is a FIFA-licensed football agent and the founder of Xdrona, where he builds international career pathways for young Indian athletes in football and tennis. That work took him deep into the European system, and it meant getting visas done, again and again, for the players he was sending abroad.
Over the years he personally handled the visas for more than 50 players, ranging from 11 to 21 years old, and got them approved, most on the first attempt. Somewhere in that streak, the realisation landed: he understood how these applications actually work, and how much heartbreak came from small, avoidable mistakes. If he could get a stadium's worth of young athletes across the border, he could help everyone else too.
That is where Unbordr began. Not as a business idea chasing a market, but as an expert deciding to solve a problem he already knew how to solve.
“I do not sell dreams. I provide clarity before commitment.”
